A Free Seminar in association with Glanbia Ingredients Ireland, Ornua and Teagasc


The National Dairy Council will host a seminar – “Quality as an Essential Component of Export Development” – on Wednesday, 14th June, 2017 in the Park Hotel Dungarvan. This seminar will be followed by a farm walk hosted by Teagasc on the dairy farm of the Power Family, winners of the 2016 NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards.

Speakers on the day include: Jeanne Kelly - Head of Corporate Communications, Ornua; Jack Kennedy - National Judging Panel, NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards; John Lynch – Teagasc; and Seán Molloy - Director of Strategy & Supply Development, GII. The sessions will be moderated by John Murphy, NDC Vice Chairman.


Delegates of the NDC seminar will form the first group of invited guests to take part in a tour of the Power Family Farm at Drumhills Farm, Cappagh, Co. Waterford at 1.30pm (full details and directions below).


The farm walk, hosted by Teagasc, will open to members of the public from 2pm that afternoon. It is a great opportunity for dairy farm families and new entrants into dairy farming to see at first-hand the types of achievable steps which can raise quality standards and help to maintain those standards throughout the year.
