We’re launching our festive menu in our award-winning café, Thursday 23rd November and it will be available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening until December 16th. We can’t guarantee a white Christmas, a roaring log fire or Michael Buble crooning in the corner, but we do promise fantastic food and friendly attentive service that not even Santa can compete with (and he only works one day a year).

UPMC Whitfield CelticsThe Pittsburgh Celtics gaelic football squad has been touring Ireland for the past week playing matches and soaking up the atmosphere in the build up to the All Ireland Final. This tour was co-sponsored by UPMC International in recognition of the club’s success in the U.S.

UPMC International is part of the world-renowned healthcare system that operates the UPMC Whitfield Cancer Centre in Waterford. UPMC Whitfield offers the most advanced radiation therapy, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy and image-guided radiation therapy to residents of the south east of Ireland. 

Celebrating their third midwest U.S. championship since 2010, members of the Pittsburgh Celtics  presented Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) President Aogán Ó Fearghaíl with a team jersey at Croke Park on Friday September 15th. The Celtics are part of the Pittsburgh GAA under a mission to further the development of Gaelic culture in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They were joined by David Beirne, Ireland country manager for UPMC International.

Along with Bon Secours and the GAA, the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program will return to Croke Park on October 7th for “Make the Call,” an educational conference on concussion treatment and management for sports officials and athletic trainers.

The symposium will feature leading concussion experts from UPMC and Bon Secours sharing the best practices, protocols and treatment of concussion. The event will also feature a panel discussion involving Dr. Pat O’Neill (All-Ireland winning former manager and player with Dublin), Dr. Brendan Murphy (former Offaly hurler, current Tipperary hurling team doctor) and Oisín McConville (former Armagh footballer and All-Star winner) sharing their own experiences with concussion.

Smovey TrainingSecond smovey coach training will take a place on Saturday, 11th of November and Sunday, 12th of November 2017 in Majestic Hotel Tramore.

During the two full days you will be learning all about the history, philosophy, vibrations and the positive effects of smovey on the body. You shall learn about neurophysiology, lymph system. We address all conditions that benefit from using smovey, from general health to helping people with conditions from arthritis to Parkinson’s and many more.

If you would like to hold any smovey classes or make any contact with specific groups that benefit from smovey you must become a certified smovey coach. This is to ensure all smovey licensed agents have the best knowledge and practise before making contact with any groups.

Smovey health is looking for physiotherapists, physical & holistic therapists, gym and yoga instructors to join our team all across Ireland and the UK. Smovey is an Austrian exercise and holistic wellness tool that creates a vibration through movement, increasing circulation throughout the body and relieving pain. It’s a tool that is very easy to use and used both in rehabilitation and exercise classes and we are looking for smovey coaches to work as part of Smovey Health team.

Certified smovey coaches have a wide selection of options to choose from. Smovey health is looking to set up smovey classes throughout Ireland & UK and also to work in conjunction with organisations like Parkinson’s Ireland, MS Ireland, Irish Wheelchair Association as well as presenting our “wellness in the workplace program” to our corporate clients.
